2023. The media are so conditioned by dominant interests and forces that it is increasingly difficult to distinguish between what is objective and what is manipulated. The emergence of artificial intelligence has only intensified this confusion, heightening the sense of uncertainty. D-AI seeks to address this issue and aims to foster a critical perspective, encouraging debate about the information we consume in the era of post-truth and artificial intelligence. It becomes essential to question where this alteration of the real is leading us. Building on an earlier Rojo Sache project, Dai, which examined the media exploitation of murders committed in remote landscapes, this new work takes the form of a newspaper that brings together various crime reports. Both the texts and the images—variants of the original photographs—have been generated using artificial intelligence, producing an alternative reality that is more unsettling, ambiguous and disturbing.
